Admission Application Process
DeGesh School of Entrepreneurship is committed to providing a clear, fair and supportive admission application process for all prospective learners. The application process is designed to ensure that applicants are placed on suitable courses that match their qualifications, experience, career goals and learning needs.
1. Course Enquiry
Prospective learners may contact the School to request information about available courses, entry requirements, study options, fees, assessment methods and progression opportunities. Enquiries may be made online, by email, by telephone or in person.
2. Completion of Application Form
Applicants are required to complete an application form for their chosen course. The form includes personal details, contact information, educational background, employment experience, chosen programme, preferred study option and any support needs. Applicants are required to pay non-refundable application fee of ÂŁ10.While filling the online form, the applicants are advised to provide the following documents:
- valid identification, such as passport, driving licence or national ID;
- copies of previous qualifications or certificates;
- Evidence of work experience, where required;
- CV or personal statement, where applicable.
3. Initial Assessment
Where required, applicants may complete an initial assessment to confirm their English language, literacy, numeracy, digital skills and readiness for the chosen course. This helps the School identify the correct level of study and any additional learning support needed.
4. Interview or Course Discussion
Applicants may be invited for an informal interview or course discussion with an admissions officer, tutor or programme leader. The purpose is to confirm the applicant’s suitability, motivation, previous experience, career objectives and understanding of the course requirements.
5. Review of Application
The admissions team will review the application form, supporting documents, assessment outcome and interview notes. Each application will be considered fairly and individually in line with the School’s admission requirements and equality and diversity principles.
6. Offer of Admission
Successful applicants may receive either a conditional or unconditional offer.
- A conditional offer may be given where the applicant needs to provide additional documents, meet entry requirements, complete an assessment or confirm payment arrangements.
- An unconditional offer may be given where the applicant has met all admission requirements for the chosen course.
7. Acceptance of Offer
Applicants who receive an offer must confirm acceptance within the stated period. They may also be required to sign a learner agreement, confirm their study option, provide outstanding documents and arrange payment of fees where applicable.
8. Enrolment and Registration
Once the offer is accepted and all requirements are met, the applicant will be enrolled on the course. The School may register the learner with the relevant awarding organisation where the course leads to a regulated qualification.
9. Induction
All new learners will receive an induction before or at the start of their course. The induction may include information about course structure, assessment methods, attendance expectations, academic support, learner responsibilities, safeguarding, complaints procedures, equality and diversity, online learning systems and key policies.
