The Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care is a comprehensive programme designed to develop learners’ knowledge, skills, and understanding of health and adult social care practice. Building on the knowledge acquired at Level 3, the qualification provides a broad and practical foundation for learners who wish to advance their careers or continue to higher-level study in health and social care.
This Ofqual-regulated qualification consists of 60 credits and is graded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction. It is mapped to the knowledge and skills requirements of the Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Adult Care occupational standard.
The programme covers important areas of health and social care, including the context and principles of care, supporting individuals in adult social care, health and ill-health, and personal and professional development. It enables learners to examine how health and social care services respond to individuals’ needs and how practitioners can contribute to safe, ethical, inclusive, and person-centred care.
By completing this qualification, learners will develop a deeper understanding of professional responsibilities, individualised support, health conditions, multidisciplinary working, legislation, ethical practice, and continuing professional development. They will also strengthen the analytical, communication, problem-solving, and reflective skills required for further study and increased responsibility within the sector.
Our courses are delivered fully online, allowing learners to study anytime and anywhere at their convenience. This flexibility enables learners to develop their knowledge and skills without unnecessarily disrupting their employment, family responsibilities, or daily schedules. We also provide continuous online support and one-to-one tutorials for personalised academic guidance, including during designated breaks and holiday periods.
